1. About This Reference
New Mexico Residents Directory is privately operated. It points readers to public-record sources and historical directory collections for the state, but it stores no government roll or court file and is not connected with a records office or court.
2. Limits on Use
Access and use the reference only in a lawful way. You must not use it or information found through it to:
- Stalk, threaten, harass, intimidate, or injure another person
- Expose the location of a person protected by a court order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make any decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act
- Scrape or republish substantial portions of the reference
- Interfere with the site's operation or security
3. No Consumer Reports
New Mexico Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.). Neither the site's content nor a result from a linked search tool is a consumer report, and neither may be used to decide eligibility for an FCRA-regulated purpose.
4. Third-Party Services
Government record portals and other linked services set their own terms. We do not control their content, uptime, prices, or handling of data you submit to them.
5. No Guarantee
The reference is supplied "as is" and "as available." We make no promise that its contents are complete or current, or that an outside portal will function or return an accurate result.
6. Liability Limits
As far as applicable law permits, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss arising from use of this reference or an outside resource, including reliance on a record.
7. Responsibility for Claims
You agree to protect the operators from claims, demands, and reasonable legal fees that result from your misuse of the reference or breach of these terms.
8. Site Materials
Copyright protects the original writing, design, logo, and layout. You may link to a page or quote a short credited excerpt, but may not republish whole pages or copy the material in bulk.
9. Revisions
Updated terms take effect when posted here. Continuing to use the reference after an update means you accept the revised terms.
10. Restricted Access
The operators may suspend or block access, without advance notice, when a user violates these terms or disrupts the service.
11. New Mexico Law
New Mexico law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Public-record access information on the site refers to the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act, NMSA 1978 §§14-2-1 through 14-2-12; the Act governs requests to public custodians, not use of this private reference.
12. Remaining Terms
If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the other provisions remain effective.
13. Contact
Send questions about these terms through the Contact page.
